What a wonderful and awesome reality that God came down to earth. The birth of Jesus Christ ushered forth a new word for humanity, "Immanuel." God would be with man. God would live alongside those He created. God would experience human birth, albeit a virgin birth. God would grow up as a preschooler and later as a teenager. God would grow up into the most phenomenal young man this earth would ever know. God is with us. But that is only the beginning of heaven's great gospel plan.
God came to be with us physically but He had so much more in store for us. Yes, God is with us in the coming of Jesus Christ. Once we believe in the person and works of Jesus and receive Him as Savior and Lord, He then resides in us! God is in us. Jesus did not just want to rub elbows with fallen humanity. He wants to indwell them. Wow! Maybe you should pinch yourself? Maybe you should wait just a minute for that self-inflicted pinch because there is one more thing I want to say that is guaranteed to stir your heart with joy. God is for us. The God who came to be with us and in us is also for us. If you don't believe me, then go find that Holy Book and read Romans 8:31-39.
