What do people see when they look at your marriage?
- ✅ – When a husband is FAITHFUL to his wife, it is a picture of how Christ is faithful to the church.
- ❌ – When a husband is UNFAITHFUL to his wife, he is saying to the world that Christ will not keep His promises to you.
- ✅ – When a wife FOLLOWS her husband, it is a picture of how the church follows Christ.
- ❌ – When a wife DOESN’T FOLLOW her husband, she is telling the world Christ isn’t worth following.
- ✅ – When a husband REMAINS with his wife, it is a picture of how Christ will never leave or abandon you.
- ❌ – When a husband WALKS OUT on his wife, he is telling the world that Christ will abandon you.
- ✅ – When a wife RESPECTS her husband, it is a picture of how the church respects Christ.
- ❌ – When a wife is DISRESPECTFUL to her husband, she is telling the world the church doesn’t respect Christ.
“Moving Your Marriage from Good to Great”
- Focus on the positive. (Don’t keep a record of wrongs)
- Never talk about the negative.
- Guard yourself against the opposite sex.
- Let’s talk about sex.
- You can’t whole-heartedly follow Christ and be LO$T in your finances.
- A marriage can’t survive on leftovers.
- Zoom in and out. (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Evaluate and eliminate.
- Rate your feelings 1-10. (“Are you saying”)
- Read your bible together.
