“What Happens in the Afterlife?” – Matthew 25:46

I. Afterlife for the believer.

A. We are immediately transported to heaven. (2 Corinthians 5:8)

B. What is heaven like? (2 Corinthians 12:2-4)

C. We will receive our glorified bodies at the rapture of the Church. (1 Corinthians 15:50-57)

D. We will return to Earth for the millennium. (Revelation 20:1-3)

E. We will enter into our eternal home. (Revelation 21:1-7)

II. Afterlife for the unbeliever.

A. At death they are transported to hades. (Luke 16:19-31)

B. The dead will receive their eternal body. (Revelation 20:5-6)

C. The dead will be judged. (Revelation 20:11-13)

D. The lost will be cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15)
